Needle Felting Cacti With Marti Swanson
These cute cacti are fun, easy to make, and are the perfect introduction to needle felting! Students will make 3 different styles of cacti (a cactus pad, a barrel cactus, and a 7 leaf rosette) each with its own mini terracotta pot and pebbles.
This is the ultimate foundational class that will teach students the basics of sculpting 3-dimensional shapes with wool. Students will learn about the tools and materials that are used in felting before diving into the techniques that will help them create their own garden: creating core shapes, blending colors, detailing, finishing techniques, and more.
Students will leave this class with a basic understanding of needle felting, 3 cacti that they created (no watering necessary!), and the basic tools needed to continue their newfound hobby.
