Wet Felting Heart Pillows with Marti Swanson
Come create a gift from the heart! These colorful and handmade heart shaped pillows are the perfect gift for your favorite Valentine or to keep for yourself and add some cozy color to your space.
This is a beginner-friendly class that will give students a hands-on introduction to wet-felting with a resist to create 3-dimensional shapes. Students will learn the basics of wet-felting and get the chance to experiment with colors and textures while creating their own decorative pillow (approximately 6 inches in diameter).
Students should bring an old bath towel. Note: Wet-felting is a physical process and does involve standing and rolling wool. While this process does take some physical effort, the results will be well worth it!

Marti Swanson is an award-winning artisan who has worked in a variety of tactile mediums. The discovery of felting and fiber arts brings together a melding of sculpting, playing with color and the tactile art of creating with fiber.
