In this hands-on introductory class, students will learn the fundamentals of weaving on an inkle loom — a compact and portable loom designed specifically for narrow bands. Inkle weaving is an ideal entry point into the world of weaving: it is approachable, highly structured, and produces beautiful, functional textiles.
What You’ll Learn
- Anatomy of the inkle loom and how it functions
- Warping the loom with proper tension
- Understanding warp-faced structure
- Basic plain weave technique
- Managing selvedges (edges) and consistent beat
- Reading and following simple color patterns

- Loom
- Shuttle and pickup sticks
- Heddles
- Basic Weaving Tools as needed

Class Kit Cost: $12-15 + tax depending on color choices and will be available day of class

The supplies will be available in store. Students receive a 10% discount on the day of class. Consignment items and class kits are not available for a discount.
